Importance of Sexual Health for Individuals with IDD

Sexual health is an important topic for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Unfortunately, conversations related to sexual health are often not fully addressed or are pushed aside because of fear, lack of comfort with the topic, or lack of information. Join us for a webinar on the importance of sexual health for individuals with IDD. Participants will hear from Joe Shapiro from NPR and Barbara Thomas from the Tall Institute as they discuss why this sensitive topic needs to be addressed.

Northeast Regional LEND Programs Co-sponsor Annual Spring Conference

This year marks the sixth annual Northeast Regional LEND conference. This year's topic will be Effects of Substance Abuse on Young Children. The conference will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord, NH. The conference is sponsored by the NH-ME LEND Program at Dartmouth College in partnership with Behavioral and Neurodevelopmental Services at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Connecticut LEND Program at UCONN Health; Eunice Kennedy Shriver LEND Program at University of Massachusetts Medical School; LEND Program at Boston Children's Hospital; Maine LEND at the University of New England; Rhode Island LEND at Rhode Island Hospital.

Model Services by UCEDDs

Pre-Conference Orientation for Trainees

This event will orient new and returning trainees to the AUCD 2020 Conference. Presenters will highlight concurrent and poster sessions relevant to trainees' disciplines and professional interests. Presenters will outline AUCD Special Interest Groups (SIG), AUCD Councils, and AUCD workgroup meetings open for trainee participation.

AIR-P Research Day at Autism CARES Meeting 2024: Translating Research to Community Impact

The Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) will be hosting its 7th semi-annual Research Day on July 22, 2024, in conjunction with the 2024 Autism CARES Meeting. This virtual event is an opportunity to highlight research related to the physical health and overall well-being of autistic individuals. The 2024 theme is "Translating Research to Community Impact" and will feature poster presentations from across the nation. This virtual event is open to all.
